First of all, there’s a lot going on this Holiday season.
Last year, we had just started our blog and were experiencing the holiday season together for the first time ever. Filled with hope for our future, we cherished the whole season. This year, the future is upon us. We built our little blog to be something that is truly a dream come true, and we’re expanding our efforts to other projects as well. We’re building our life in full force from the ground up – oh yeah, and I’m also trying to graduate from college.
Whew, I can’t believe I forgot!
With everything going on with us “real-life”-wise, school is something that I’m just trying to get through. Miraculously, I’m graduating a semester early. This means that I’m currently in the midst of my last two weeks of school – probably ever.
There’s a lot going on.
Ariana and I are working full time on The Angelinos, so we spend every waking moment that I’m not in class taking photos for Instagram, coming up with ideas for posts, and corresponding with brands on behalf of our business. On top of that, we’re both trying to grow our individual Instagrams (mine is here, and Ariana’s is here) and Ariana even started her own blog! I also just started working towards my real estate license, AND we decided this year would be the perfect time to participate in our first Vlogmas on YouTube.
And of course, I have school.
This whole fall I’ve just been focusing on getting through each week, and that mentality is finally starting to fade. Ariana pointed out that this past Thanksgiving was my last school break ever, and that’s super weird to wrap my head around. On one hand, I’ve been counting down the days for months. On the other hand, it’s weird to be living moments that I’ve looked forward to for so long.
So what does this have to do with Christmas?
Well, this Christmas is the beginning of me no longer being a student, which I’ve never experienced before. School has been at the forefront of my priorities up until this year, so I literally have no idea what it’s like to not be thinking about school all the time. Also, since we’re in the midst of the holiday season, Christmas coincides with my literal graduation. While I’m not walking or anything, everything should be settled in late December. Hopefully, I’ll be getting my diploma as an early Christmas present!
But beyond just finishing, there’s a lot to look forward to about being out of school. For the first time, all of my days will be open for work. I’ll actually get paid for my effort instead of paying to work towards a degree. I’m really looking forward to this freedom, and for the opportunities this opens up for not only our business, but for the individual endeavors I’m already starting to work towards.
Overall, this Christmas is way different – in the best way.
This Christmas signifies a real beginning for me and for Ariana. We’ve been building the foundation of our dream life for over a year and a half, and this December is when we finally get to start building up. We’re so excited to document the chaos and greatness of this upcoming holiday season, and we can’t wait to share it all with you guys!
