It is no secret that we struggle to eat 3 full meals a day.

Let’s not judge! We’re just two busy bee’s. If you can eat three full meals a day even while busy, you may be thinking “i’m busy too and I can still eat three meals a day.” Honestly, we strive to be just like you. The truth of the matter is, we forget sometimes. We don’t forget that food exists, we just forget that time exists.

We like to sleep until we absolutely have to get up and go.

During the weekdays, we’re usually out of the house by 10:00 a.m which means we’re up at roughly 9:00 a.m. I can’t possibly bear to be awake any sooner than 9:00 a.m. Yes, I’m definitely one of those people who can get up and ready in about 50 minutes flat. This often means that I don’t prioritize breakfast. I know, many say it’s the most important meal of the day, but life happens.

Hannah Is slightly better than I am at keeping up with her daily meals.

Hannah is more of a morning person, but her routine still usually excludes breakfast (and sometimes lunch too). With getting in all three of our meals being a daily challenge for us, we’ve turned to our friends who have the solution to our problem.

Meet the new kids on the block, Queal!

Our friends at Queal have made it ridiculously easy to get nutritionally complete meals, even when we’re at our busiest (which is every single day of our lives), with seven different flavors to choose from!

What we love about Queal’s quick meals:

  1. They’re actually very quick. 5 scoops (recommended) of Queal in a blender bottle, water or milk, shake, and go.
  2. It is high in protein. We’re talking 49 grams high.
  3. Low in sugar with 9 grams or less.
  4. 100% vegetarian.
  5. And lastly, it contains all 27 essential vitamins and minerals!

One of our favorite ways to enjoy Queal Quick Meals is with one of our favorite smoothie recipes, strawberry banana!

I have oral allergy syndrome, which means I have an allergic reaction in my mouth to many fresh fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Because of this allergic reaction, I am limited to the fruits and vegetables that I can eat. This makes strawberry banana smoothies a classic staple in our household.

Our Classic Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe ft. Queal.

Ingredients:

  1. 5 scoops of Queal’s Super Strawberry powder
  2. 2 cups of strawberries. (frozen works great as well)
  3. 1  banana, peeled.
  4. 1 cup of milk. (Almond milk is great too)
  5. 1/3 cup of orange juice.
  6. 1 cup of Ice.
  7. 1 tablespoon honey, if needed to sweeten.

Directions:

Add all of the ingredients into a blender, and blend until smoothly combined. Serve immediately.

(If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk. If it is too thin, add more fruit and or ice.)

We love Queal for smoothies, but it’s perfect on its own too!

Whether we’re shaking up a simple powder and milk drink, or putting a protein-packed twist on an old favorite, Queal is definitely the solution for our busy mornings.

Enjoy!

  1. 49g of protein for 9g of sugar – that’s really good! I’ve been using pea protein powder in my green smoothie lately but the protein % is not as high. Will look into this brand – thanks for sharing!

  2. I’m just like you and get up at the last minute! This smoothie sounds really yummy and pretty easy to make. Never heard of Queal before so will have to check that out!

  3. At Christmas, I use raspberry jello and use frozen strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. Sometime I am going to add a little bit cranberries. It really makes it festive. On 4th of July I do strawberries and add blueberries. I also noticed that no one mentions slicing the frozen strawberries. It makes it much easier to mix, serve and eat. I even will cut up the strawberries the day prior and refreeze them because they need that to help thicken the mixture. Lastly, the people that have crumbly pretzel layer, might not be using enough butter. I have noticed that different types of pretzels require more or less butter. Like Snyder”s pretzel rods use a bit more. Play with it a little. You”ll find your happy place with this incredible desert.
