As you all know, we just got back from a nine-day trip to New York… during the polar vortex. We had a ton of fun, but I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t 110% ready to come back to California by the end of it. In our darkest moments hobbling down the sidewalk with stiff bones and faces full of wind, we fantasized about one thing — a spa day.
Inside of our AirBnb with exactly 5 minutes of available hot water and a truly pathetic heater, Ariana and I wished for a massage, a sauna, and a hot shower.
And you know what? The universe delivered.
We were invited by our friends at Larchmont Sanctuary to experience one of their Valentine’s Day couples’ packages. Larchmont Sanctuary is a boutique spa experience here in Los Angeles, and it is absolutely everything!
As we pull into the parking lot, we approach a quaint Spanish-style building painted an alluring orange and adorned with plants. It feels like walking up to a friends house, and that feeling continues even when the door is opened.
Neither of us had ever had a spa experience before, so we weren’t sure what to expect.
Everyone at Larchmont Sanctuary from the receptionists to the masseuses made us feel completely comfortable and at home. We were guided from service to service, and invited to relax in each space we were led into. The entire experience was so intimate and private, it truly felt like we were the only couple there.
This was literally the most romantic thing we have ever done together.
We experienced the Rekindle Romance package, which includes a couples aromatherapy massage, an organic sugar and herb body polish, and a champagne bath for two. Every single aspect of the experience encouraged us to bond, take our time, and reconnect with each other.
We began our afternoon with a private bath in Larchmont’s enormous copper tub. Surrounded by rose petals and candlelight, we drank champagne and indulged in one another’s company. Next, we relaxed in the lounge until we were ready for our massages. Let me tell you, we are changed people after that massage. We both suffer from chronic tension, so giving our bodies an hour massage was completely overdue. Not only that, but the massage was followed up with a sugar polish that completely rejuvenated our dry, “East Coast Winter” skin.
One hot shower later, we were ready for one final sauna before heading home.
Every part of our experience at Larchmont Sanctuary created an intimate environment where Ariana and I could truly focus on each other. We talked, relaxed, and enjoyed quality time. And the icing on top was how revived we felt after our treatments. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Valentine’s Day experience!
We wholeheartedly recommend Larchmont Sanctuary for couples who want to connect and spend quality time together. Not only do they provide an incredibly private spa experience, but all of their treatments have wellness and holistic care in mind. We left feeling refreshed, renewed and reconnected.
Until next time,
Ariana & Hannah
